Geek Street Fair

Geek Street Fair

The Geek Street Fair is an annual public event dedicated to highlighting the technology community and inspiring people of all ages to take interest in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. Think of a traditional street fair, but replace funnel cakes and tube socks with virtual games, robotics and electronic tinkering.

Google approached Selman Design to create a refresh of their current identity for this years event, which will be hosted in Boston, Chicago, New York, and Pittsburgh. We developed a localized set of custom illustrations for each of the 2016 participating cities, highlighting local monuments and architecture. The illustration style is echoed in a dense pattern of universal tech, art and street fair iconography.
